The attic fan boasts a 50,000-hour continuous run lifespan and uses dual ball bearings for omnidirectional mounting. It also sports an IP-44 rating, resisting dust and moisture while performing in most humid environments. The insulated damper uses gravity-fed shutters to close the opening when the whole house fan is not in use, keeping attic air from entering your home.

    Not ACInfinity's best showing

    This is the first AC Infinity product I've been disappointed in, for three reasons:
    1. 1200 CFM (or 1600 CFM for the T12 version) is low for a whole house fan. As I later learned, the standard in California is a minimum of 2 CFM per sq ft, so that puts this fan at a bout 600 sq ft of living space.
    2. The box/vent cover did not fit betweenRead more about review stating Not ACInfinity's best showing standard 16" OC studs. I had to modify the mounting fins to make it fit.
    3. Its quite noisy when running on max relative to other products.

    I still give the product 3 stars because:
    1. Build quality was excellent, as always. The duct was especially easy to work with
    2. The standard ACInfinity controls, including temperature/humidity/time/cycle based settings, are substantially beyond most competitors.

    If I were looking to add a vent fan to a single room, such as a master bedroom suite, and the ceiling accommodated the mounting, this would be an excellent product.
