    For a through wall vent

    I installed this fan in a through wall vent to help conditioned air to pass through to another room in my house better. The fan appears to be good quality and I like the variable speed option. It is working quite well at moving air to the room through my vent!

    Axial to replace old Boxer Fan

    I am an Amateur Radio operator. I have used Boxer fans for a long time. Boxer fans are no longer available. I ordered an Axial S1225 for comparison. I desired a fan as quiet as the old boxer fans. This fan on low speed is just as quiet and as much air. The variable speed control was very helpful. The fan on low speed is very quiet and moves enough air to satisfy my needs. The fan on high moves a lot of air and is noisier but is not overly loud in noise. I think after this I will order the slower speed fans. For those folks who do not know exactly how much air they will need this would be a very good choice. I would recommend it to all my ham Radio friends.

    Good for tube amplifiers

    I have a tube power amplifier that runs hot and was starting to overheat the bottom of the shelf above where the amp is placed. I mounted this fan on the bottom of the shelf above just above and behind the amp. It's a perfect solution -- the fan is quiet enough not to disturb listening to even very quiet music and cools the amp enough to keep everything in good shape.
